Becoming a Registered Auditor

Apply for approval to act as a Company Auditor

The Institute of Incorporated Public Accountants (IIPA) is a Recognised Accountancy Body under the Companies Acts. This means that it is authorised to approve individuals and firms as Statutory Auditors as provided for in the European Communities (Statutory Audits) (Directive 2006/43/EC) Regulations 2010.

Many qualified accountants meet the requirements to register as a Statutory Auditor but are prevented from doing so because of restrictions applied to them by their parent body. However this does not have to restrict you becoming a Statutory Auditor – if you meet the requirements of the Law then you may still become an auditor by applying to the IIPA.
